About
Anwar Kalid received his B.S. in Bioengineering from UCLA. His research focused on the development and optimization of MRI and MR spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) techniques. In his project, he used MRSI to analyze brain matter in HIV patients, utilizing tools such as Statistical Parameter Mapping and CAT-12 to examine differences in white and gray matter distribution. His work aimed to enhance understanding of neurological changes associated with HIV through advanced imaging and data analysis.
He is an alumni of the Thomas lab.
