Vaishnavi Sam is a second-year undergraduate at UCLA pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering. She is also a student researcher in the MRRL Thomas Lab, where she contributes to projects in brain MRI and MR spectroscopic imaging (MRSI). Her work involves computational analysis and processing of neuroimaging data to study metabolite concentrations and myelin content to understand the neurological impacts of HIV. She is interested in neuroimaging, artificial intelligence, and their integration to advance medical research and diagnostic tools.
