Katarina Chiam is a master’s student in Bioengineering at UCLA, with research interests focused on enhancing the utility and reliability of machine learning in MRI. Her work explores bias mitigation strategies such as adversarial attacks and the development of Explainable AI (XAI) techniques for medical imaging and image reconstruction. By integrating transparency and fairness into AI models, she aims to support more robust and clinically trustworthy imaging solutions.
