About
Sohaib Naim is a Ph.D. student in the Physics and Biology in Medicine program at UCLA, conducting research in Dr. Kyunghyun Sung’s lab. His research focuses on developing quantitative MRI techniques to enhance prediction, prevention, and prognostication in gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging. He is also interested in applying deep learning for medical image segmentation and analyzing radiomic features of prostate lesions.
Prior to UCLA, he worked as a clinical research associate in the Diagnostic Radiology department at City of Hope National Medical Center. He completed his M.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, where his thesis, completed under the guidance of Drs. Haris I. Sair and Craig Jones at the Radiology AI Lab (RAIL),—focused on sequential learning for medical imaging classification.
